We are saddened to announce the passing of Prof. Dr. Emin Özsoy, who made significant scientific contributions to Turkish Marine Science and Oceanography, and served at both METU Institute of Marine Sciences and ITU Eurasia Institute of Earth Sciences.

His funeral will be held on 29 August 2025, following the Asr prayer, at Ankara Karşıyaka Cemetery.
